Brittany Harkins was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on August 2, 1994. Singing was her passion almost at birth. She took her first vocal lesson at 7 years old, and always loving an audience, she became a favorite at periodic recitals. In addition to singing, Brittany took dance lessons in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz and her favorite, Hip Hop. She also completed at the state level as a gymnast. At age 9, however, she made a choice to put all of her energy and focus exclusively into dancing and singing.

At age 11, she auditioned for and became part of a local Radio Disney singing group called RD7. The group performed at various events and became a local favorite. The group opened for Raven and the Jonas Brothers, and performed at several concerts, including the Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana and at a local Kelly Clarkson concert. With the disbanding of RD7 the following year, Brittany and two RD7 members formed another group. At that time, she also co-wrote a dance song and made a music video. The following year, she went solo. Brittany and her back-up dancers performed at many local events over the next year, and at the end of the summer season, she headed out to LA to record original material with Alex Cantrall (JoJo – Leave Get Out).

Brittany enrolled in the School of Rock in 2010 (Norfolk location), where she would meet up with a group of amazing kids who formed an undeniable bond. Chris Skrip, Shane Murdock and Josh Odom would all become members of the School of Rock House Band, performing all over Hampton Roads and representing the School of Rock. Brittany was selected as a School of Rock National All-Star, going on a summer tour up and down the East Coast, culminating at Van’s Warped Tour in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In late 2012, Brittany, Chris, Shane, Josh and Polina Gashnikova formed the band Rellen. It has been an exciting ride for Brittany and she looks forward to her amazing journey with her best friends and band mates in the years to come.
